CHESAPEAKE AVENUE

A closed-off Victorian-era kitchen was reconfigured into a bright and roomy space comfortable for two home cooks. The white cabinets were customized with a raised base to make the whole kitchen more comfortable for our very tall client. Another custom touch: a “pocket” for a rolling gate so that the dogs could be corralled in the kitchen when necessary. The owner’s stained glass artwork is featured over the farmhouse sink. Oil-rubbed bronze pendants, glass subway tile and beadboard panels in the upper cabinets are some of the other details that tie this kitchen to its historic roots.
